Guardian Angels takes great interest in sporting activities and encourages all our students to participate in a wide variety of sports.

We have been very lucky over the years to have a coach from Geraldine Moran’s GAA club who coaches various classes throughout the school year. This year the children have been privileged to have Dublin footballer Darren Magee coach them.

In the first term our boys and girls take part in the Gaelic Football Cumann na mBunscoil competition. Hurling and soccer take place between March and June with children taking part in various competitions.

As we are are lucky to be located near Newpark Secondary School we have been able to bring classes for terms of swimming lessons. This year 4th and 5th classes availed of this excellent opportunity.

At the end of May every year the children take part in the Cumann na mBunscoil athletics competitions in Santry.

Over the years our boys and girls have been very successful at Table Tennis. Children play  both at lunch time and as an after-school activity.

Thanks to the PTA children in the senior classes receive Hockey coaching throughout the year. Hockey is also played as an after-school activity.

Chess is also offered as an after-school activity and is available to all children from Junior Infants.
